Casa de Luz Medical and Eye Surgery Mission
The Casa de Luz Medical and Eye Surgery Mission trip to the North Shore of the Dominican Republic will depart February 27, 2010. This is our first year as a recognized charitable organization. The previous four trips were made under the sponsorship of Island Impact, Ministries.
We have now raised all of our funding for the trip under the name of Casa de Luz. Our goal remains the same: to provide free surgical and medical eye care in the poorest province of the Dominican Republic, primarily for underprivileged children and adults who do not have access to eye medical care.
Last year our team performed over 60 surgeries in one week and fitted over 500 individuals with glasses.
