Planning your Events
As of October 2009, more than 20,000 individuals from 110 nations—including 1,000 who represent millions of constituents—have declared grassroots support for the 2010 IYNurse as a catalyst to increase public awareness about the priority of health worldwide and to support the United Nation's action plans to achieve a healthy world by 2020.
Follow the steps below to plan your 2010 IYNurse grassroots-to-global events:
-
STEP 1: Conduct a planning meeting of key people.
-
-
STEP 2: Identify the "what," "when," "where” and “why” of your celebrations, events and activities.
-
-
STEP 3: Identify the "who" — featured speakers, committees, contact persons, etc.
-
-
STEP 4: Create your calender and submit iyour events for posting on the 2010 IYN calender and Web site.
-
-
STEP 5: Promote your events in local, regional and national media.
-
-
STEP 6: Enjoy your events and invite your friends, families, communities and networks.
-
-
STEP 7: Take photos, write your story and submit the materials to the 2010 IYN Web site for the world to read.
